So, you've been assigned to a brigade. Now you need your brigade gear. A survival bracelet should be at the top of your list. Why? Because it holds roughly 7 feet of parachute cord within those little knots - it's actually 1 foot of paracord per inch. Paracord can hold up to 700 lbs., so it could be useful for many things.
